The Namator Game

We all need to do some exercises in spontaneous creativity now and then or we forget how to have fun. That said, we don’t have a lot of spare time. So here’s a quick and easy game you can play that will spark ideas, get your muse working and maybe even inspire a story or two.
To play the game, you must visit Namator.com and, using the four generators there, pull three words from each list of results you generate. Then, very quickly and without thinking about it too much, write who or what they are.

Addopower – a company that allows you to have superpowers. Just watch out for the small print.
Cinqorphosis – Provides a stasis device that may also turn you into a cephlapod
Beaconal Star – let’s you know where your nearest star is
Fantasy
Horcak – Sounds like a swear word but is actually a potent alcohol for rim worlders. It’s onomatopoeic for the reaction one gets after having some.
Anras- a spiritual plane of existance where one experiences pure emotions and music is how you communicate
Fexot The Erotic – No one knows if Fexot is a male or female or both but they are the best concubine in three galaxies.
Planets
Din Terragos Duo – a planet with two suns that somehow always has a dark side
Bettabott Una – the planet originally had another name, now lost to time. The company bettabott took it over a century ago and uses the entire thing to produce their botts.
Forsvest 16 – A slight typo on a planet survey gave this planet it’s name and the colonists were too lazy to rename it as they were too busy trying to cut down some of the continent wide forests.
This is really fun actually. Might play this every few days to keep the brain working.

News
I need to learn to update more. I pitched a second book to my boss and she said it sounded great. waiting for a deadline for that. it’s an f/f that’s now going terribly wrong. Initially i sent it to a friend just to see if the plot was ok and she sent me back an essay on what was wrong with it things to fix so i’m feeling a little mind-blocked (i think cock-blocked sounds better but it doesn’t quite work here).
Guess i’ll be working on that for a while in between my editing work. my author that was MIA is now back so i have her four books back on my plate whenever my boss gets around to rescheduling her releases.
In other news still having crazy dreams. Had two sexy naked dreams in a row with actors i don’t find amazingly attractive so that was interesting. last nights one sprung an urban fantasy esque plot but it’s kinda faded and me being me, i didn’t write it down.
sooo. yeah. stuff.
Life
Weird dream last night. lot’s of huge boiling over emotions and running. I remember that no one understood me and they were all angry with me i think? i hated everyone and everything so i was running to get away and to burn up my anger. It was sort of half college, half high school, and then i ended up at a beach. someone i knew from highschool followed me and comforted me which made me hugely glad. i’d missed him and was glad to know he cared. (if you still read this, yes i am refering to you.) the comfort started to lead to something more. but then there was this alien, like Alien, but different. it was trying to attack me but i kept stopping it just by shouting at it to stop. There was a weird mix of Old Friend and Alien and then i was running again. i realised i had aliens in me, hundreds of them, trying to eat me from the inside out. i knew it should hurt but i kept making it stop hurting. i was watching my belly move with all the bodies swarming around in there knowing they were going to burst out. it was horrible.
No idea what it all means but it’s stayed with me all day. maybe it means i have unresolved things that i’m running from that are trying to escape from inside of me.
or maybe i just have weird dreams.

I’m so psyched about this and it all feels faintly unreal. i hadn’t even written this book 2 weeks ago and now it’ll be out in the next two. that’s, insanely fast but amazing all the same.
